Lead guide
Mingma Sherpa
Senior Guide & Safety Lead
14 years guiding · English, Nepali, Tamang
Mingma Sherpa reviews every safety-critical page on this site: altitude sickness, insurance, and winter route content all carry his sign-off. He holds a Nepal government trekking guide licence and a Wilderness First Responder certification, and completed the Himalayan Rescue Association's high-altitude medicine seminar at Pheriche.
Mingma grew up in Gatlang in the Langtang region and guides across Langtang, Manaslu, and the Annapurna Circuit. He led the company's first post-earthquake Langtang Valley departure in 2016 and has tracked the valley's lodge rebuilding season by season since. He plans acclimatization around the Himalayan Rescue Association's guidance on sleeping altitude and rest days.
